Watch repair estimate fees

Estimates are usually completed within one day of receiving the watch. Some watches due to their age may require a more detailed estimate to determine its restoration costs, due to the amount of time required to properly perform a thorough estimate on a watch an estimate fee is required.

When you approve the repair/restoration cost then we will credit the paid estimate fee to the repair cost, thus making the estimate free.

The proper inspection of your watch requires a complete disassembly and inspection of every part of the timepiece. Necessary repairs, required parts and their availability, as well as the cost of fabrication must be evaluated. If the estimate is declined the watch must be reassembled and returned. We charge a fee for this service if the watch is not repaired at that time. If the work is approved there is no charge for the estimate, provided we have not already reassembled the watch. In these cases, if you approve the repair/restoration then we will credit the estimate fee to the repair cost. No work is done without your approval. Even the cost of the estimate must be approved and paid in advance. The cost of estimates can vary considerably depending on the nature of the watch. The minimum shop charge is $100.00 plus the return shipping fee.
