Consignments and Appraisals

Appraisals: We perform 2 types of appraisals, the
standard level Apprasial service and
our premium level watch appraisal service.

With the standard insurance appraisal we photograph the watch, document and photograph (when

possible) any outer imperfections. We check all the functions and offer our opinion as to the

value of the watch. A standard appraisal starts at $125.00. Watches requiring extensive

research will be more.

With our premium appraisal we also completely disassemble the watch and note any wear

damage or other imperfections. Also included with the premium appraisal is the repair

estimate explaining any repairs or restoration work needed to put the watch in perfect

working order. A premium appraisal starts at $350.00. Watches requiring extensive research

and complicated watches requiring greater dis- and reassembly will be more.

Consignments: Only watches we have either serviced or have been examined fully, and

determined to be in good mechanical condition are eligible for Consignment watch sales program.

Watches are not strange in our life. In average one has a watch in five persons. How many of you know the story of watches. "Bracelet watches, rolex serti dial n serial " which were the first true wristwatches, were not men's watches at all; first appearing shortly after the American civil war, they were actually intended to be worn by women. Men used pocket watches exclusively. It wasn't until the invention of the airplane that it became necessary to develop a time piece that allowed pilots to tell time without removing their hands from the stick.
